Student Opportunities and Services
Student organizations
Joining a student organization will allow you to network with other students with similar interests, interact with sociology faculty and learn from speakers and peers.
Community engagement
Students have many opportunities to apply their knowledge of sociology and gain experience in the community. The core of public sociology is civic and community engagement. The sociology faculty are engaged members of the community and encourage students to be as well.
Undergraduate research
Students in the sociology program have the unique opportunity to participate in undergraduate research. Students may conduct their own research with the assistance of a faculty member with the opportunity to publish their research.
