The Sociology Minor

If you're looking for a minor that compatible with nearly every major on campus, you've found the place. Sociology! A minor in Sociology may give you "one up" on other job candidates. Not only may you come to understand yourself better by studying sociology, you'll have a much better understanding of the society in which you live and its impact on you and others.

A sociology minor is available on B.A., B.S., B.S. in Education and Bachelor of Social Work degrees. The sociology minor includes three required courses:

SOC 150 - Introduction to Society (3)
SOC 301 - Research Methodology  (3)
SOC 325 - An Introduction to Sociological Theory (3)

In addition to the nine (9) hours you would take above, you'll need another  nine hours of SOC courses to make a total of 18 hours of sociology.

-18 Minor in Sociology
 62 Remaining for a major in another discipline and, perhaps, for another minor.  That's gives you lots of flexibility!
