The Minor in Applied Social Research

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology offers a twenty-one (21) hour Minor in Applied Social Research requiring the following curriculum:

Core Required Courses (9 hours)

SOC 301 - Research Methodology (3)
SOC 302 - Statistics for Social Research (3)
SOC 425 - Advanced Social Theory (3)

Required Elective Courses (choose any 12 hours)

SOC 505 - Population Analysis (3)
PLS 576 - Quantitative Methods of Political Science and Public Policy (3)
PSY 529 - Psychological Tests and Measurements (3)
Or other courses, as approved by the student's advisor, which tie the major and minor fields of study together.
