Choose any 2 courses in the categories below but no more than 1 from any one category.  One course must have a lab.

a. Astronomy or Physics
b. Biology or Biomedical Science
c. Chemistry
d. Geography or Geology

             2. Culture and Society   (6 hours total)

Note:  Students must accumulate a total of 5 courses between the Culture and Society and the Self-Understanding categories consisting of no less than 4 different course codes (i.e., ART, LLT)

a. Humanities Perspective (Choose 3 hours)
b. Social Sciences Perspective (Choose 3 hours)

              3. Self-Understanding   (9 hours total).  See Note above.

                                     a. Social/Behavioral Perspective (Choose 3 hours)
                                    b. Humanities Perspective (Choose 3 hours)
                                  c. Creativity and Vision Perspective (Choose 3 hours)
C. Public Affairs  ( 9 hours).  Take the capstone course in your senior year.
                                     a. American Studies (6 hours)
                                     b. The Capstone Course (3 hours)


Total Number of Hours in the General Education Requirement = 43 to 45 hours
